Alfred University Community Based Org Scholarship Nomination Form

    Thank you for nominating a student for the Alfred University Community Based Organization Scholarship award.

    Up to five current seniors from your organization will be eligible for this award. The selected recipients will receive $30,000 per year until graduating from Alfred University (New York State students in our SUNY Supported Art & Engineering programs will receive $18,000 per year).

    Scholarship Qualifications:

    • Student nominees must be taking a course of study that is college preparatory in scope and have achieved an overall 2.5 GPA or higher at the time of nomination
    • Student nominees must have been affiliated with the Community Based Organization for a minimum of one full year
    • CBO Counselors who are current high school seniors also qualify for nomination
    • Student must complete and submit their Alfred University application and supporting materials by February 1st of their senior year
    Nomination Process:
    • Complete this nomination form including a description of why this student is “Outside of Ordinary” and what community involvement and growth they have achieved while part of your organization
    • Nominations must be received by March 15th - scholarship award decisions will be made on a rolling basis.
