CANY Award Nomination Form

    Thank you for nominating a student for the Kazuo Inamori School of Engineering at Alfred University and the Ceramic Association of New York (CANY) Award

    One current junior from every high school will be eligible for this award. The selected recipient will receive $2,500 per year, in addition to their Alfred University merit award, until graduating from Alfred University.

    Scholarship Qualifications:

    • Student nominees must have achieved an overall 3.0 GPA or higher at the time of nomination
    • Students must display exceptional performance in science, mathematics, and English
    Nomination Process:
    • Complete this nomination form including a letter of recommendation at the end of this form
    • Upload the student's current high school transcript
    • Nominations received by March 15th - scholarship award decisions will be made by April 15th - awards will be sent to the school for presentation
    • Nominations received from March 16 - May 15th - scholarship award decisions will be made by June 15th - awards will be sent to the school, but we cannot guarantee we will get them to the school in time for spring awards ceremonies.
