CANY Award Nomination Form

Thank you for nominating a student for the Kazuo Inamori School of Engineering at Alfred University and the Ceramic Association of New York (CANY) Award

One current junior from every high school will be eligible for this award. The selected recipient will receive $29,000 per year, in addition to their Alfred University merit award, until graduating from Alfred University. (NY State Students in our State Supported Materials Engineering programs will receive $17,000 per year to reflect the discounted tuition in these programs).

Scholarship Qualifications:

Student nominees must have achieved an overall 3.0 GPA or higher at the time of nomination
Students must display exceptional performance in science, mathematics, and English

Nomination Process:

Complete this nomination form including a letter of recommendation at the end of this form
Upload the student's transcript reflecting grades from the first half of junior year as well as in progress coursework
Nominations will remain open through April 15th
Decisions will be made beginning in April
